Can you open your heart and your home to a dog in need of help?
Animal Welfare League NSW needs volunteer foster carers in Sydney for our shelter dog foster care program.
If you live in regional NSW please visit our branch pages
You could make a genuine difference to help prepare shelter dogs for forever homes, by providing them with the skills and behaviour they need for life. We also need foster carers for dogs that require recuperation and rest after surgery.
Animal Welfare League endorses positive reinforcement based training only. Foster Carers will be fully supported by our behaviour team, with regular feedback to track our foster dog’s progress. For info on dog training click here
We encourage you to apply and join our team today!

Please note: The dogs we put into foster are the ones that require additional care outside of our operating hours, for their mental and physical wellbeing. It is important to note that you cannot choose your foster dog, these are delegated on an as-needed basis, based on your foster care situation/capability.
