Kids can make a difference!

At your school

Ask your teacher to invite an Animal Welfare League Inspector to visit your class. Our Inspectors love to visit schools to talk about the work of AWL and how you can look after animals in your community.

Events

Why not enter a team of friends and family into an event, such as City to Surf and raise funds for the many animals in our care. You can create a team fundraising page to make it easy for your sponsors to donate. Or you can attend yearly AWL events such as Christmas with the Animals, where pets and their people have a photo with Santa.

Fundraising

AWL cares for thousands of surrendered, abandoned and neglected animals each year. Receiving less than 2% government funding, AWL depends on the generous support of the community. Your donations help AWL to provide veterinary care such as desexing and vaccinations, food and shelter, toys and enrichment and helps to keep our team of  Inspectors on the road to investigate allegations of cruelty.

If you wish to help fundraise on behalf of AWL how about.....

  • Become an AWL Junior Member
  • Participate in a team fundraising event and start an AWL team
  • Sponsor one of our Guardian Angel animals
  • Collect mobile phones for recycling
  • Order a donation tin for your school
  • Hold a cake stall
  • Organise a local dog walk or dog competition
  • Instead of birthday gifts ask guests to make a donation to AWL
  • Make AWL your school or club charity of the year
