AWL operates two animal shelters in the Sydney region. 

Kemps Creek Shelter

Kemps Creek Shelter is situated between Liverpool and Penrith and is the premier animal welfare facility in the area.  Our new centre offers dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption, and also offers luxury pet boarding. The shelter is open for surrenders and adoption 10.00 am - 3.30 pm seven days per week, and boarding by appointment.

Ingleside Shelter

Ingleside Shelter is located in Sydney's northern beaches and offers dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption, as well as offering premier boarding facilities for cats and dogs. The shelter is open for surrenders and adoptions 10.00 am - 3.30 pm seven days per week, and boarding by appointment.

Vet Clinic

Now open to the public, our veterinary clinic located on site at our Kemps Creek Shelter offers a range of services including desexing, vaccinations, dental procedures, nutritional advice, x-rays, on-site laboratory and DNA testing. The clinic hours are 9.00 am - 6.30 pm Mon - Fri and 9.00am - 11.00am Sat & Sun. To contact them directly call 8777 4424. The vet clinic is now located at the Kemps Creek Shelter at 1605 Elizabeth Dr, Kemps Creek.

Branches

AWL has 13 branches located across NSW, managed and operated by dedicated volunteers.

Branch services include:

• Caring for surrendered animals
• Adopting dogs, cats, puppies and kittens
• Assistance with emergency veterinary care for injured animals
• Subsidised Desexing Program for financially disadvantaged people to have their animals desexed
• Fundraising and events
• Building relationships with local Council and community groups to assist with animals in the region
• Some Branches operate Op Shops where people can make donations and purchase items
• North Coast operate a Cat Adoption Centre
• Some Branches operate Infolines for pet advice and information
