Shoalhaven Branch

Animal Welfare League NSW Shoalhaven Branch
PO Box 850
Nowra NSW 2541

The AWL Shoalhaven Branch covers a large area from the country to the sea.

We are a small branch of dedicated volunteers who conduct many activities including rehabilitation and fostering of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.

We arrange subsidised desexing programs for the local community, run a program to assist the pets of the homeless and we provide information for all creatures great and small.

Fundraising for our branch includes monthly stalls, raffles, garage sales and much more. We rely on fundraising to help with the care of our animals. We appreciate all donations including all animal products, bedding, food etc in reasonable condition.

We hold second hand good stalls every second Thursday of each month in Junction Court at the bottom of Junction St Nowra (weather permitting).

All of our animals available for adoption can be viewed on our Facebook page or on the following link: Pets Available for Adoption.

For all adoption or surrender enquires please call our Welfare Officer on 0429 429 885.

Meetings are held at the Bomaderry Bowling Club every second Monday of each month at 10am in the board room (visitors are always welcome).

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or a carer please contact our President Mary on 0429 429885 or via email.

Our volunteers are at the Shoalhaven Animal Shelter morning on BTU Road, South Nowra on the second Saturday of each month for those requiring assistance with the cost of desexing.  Subsidised desexing vouchers are available to those with a health care card or pension card.  All animals must be microchipped to qualify so please bring them along to be scanned.  If they are not yet microchipped the shelter staff can assist with this on the day (small charge applies).
