Why become an AWL NSW member?
Animal Welfare League NSW firmly believes that engagement with the community is critical to saving lives. Our members across New South Wales are integral to the mission and vision of our organisation – to ensure the best welfare standards for animals in the community and promote responsibility towards understanding, supporting and improving welfare outcomes for all animals.
Becoming a member of Animal Welfare League NSW brings a unique opportunity to contribute towards creating an environment of kindness, and making a difference in the lives of so many four-legged friends. It provides a platform to get involved with like-minded people, and help encourage responsible pet ownership through publicity, events and educational opportunities for members of the public, through a network of volunteer branches across New South Wales.
If you want to help make a real difference to the matters you care about, then become a member of Animal Welfare League NSW! AWL NSW members receive regular updates on our latest news and events, and are also able to attend and vote at Annual General Meetings.
Changes to membership fees
Our membership fees have remained unchanged through the last decade, even though the ambit of our welfare initiatives across the state has grown manifold. With every passing year, postage and production costs have continued to rise. We understand that the past few years have been tough on everyone, with the bushfires tearing through the land, the floodwaters washing away homes, and the global pandemic changing life as we knew it. We are so proud of our community that has rallied in support of families and members of the public doing it tough. That is why we have decided to place a marginal increase on our ongoing membership fee. Every additional dollar will contribute to the welfare of animals – a cause that remains paramount to us despite the changing times. To recognise the efforts of young Australians who continue to contribute towards the welfare and well-being of all animals, we have re-introduced the opportunity to become a Junior Member with us.
The new membership fees are listed below and are effective 1st July 2021:
$20 annual fee – concession membership
$20 annual fee – junior membership
$40 annual fee – standard membership
$600 once-off fee – life membership
