Cleo's carer had this to say about her: "She'll make a really nice companion for someone - maybe an older person living on their own, looking for someone to chat to and look after. She's very sweet and not a bit scratchy even when scared at the vet." So Cleo is looking for a relaxed home with a special person willing to take on a senior cat who is in good health. Cleo owner passed away 5 years ago and since then Cleo has been living in the front yard of a neighbour who has fed her. Cleo now needs to find shelter in a safe haven to live out her twilight years.
Cleo is a friendly cat and her new foster mum tells us Cleo sleeps a lot and really doesn't care much for the great outdoors. Those days are behind this grand old girl. Cleo doesn't mind being brushed to keep her fur in a manageable condition. Cleo also likes to be hand fed, just a little quirk her carer has discovered. Every evening Cleo climbs up on her foster mums lap for a sleep in front of the TV. Cleo settled into her new foster home in record time after being an out door cat so would suit an apartment. She uses a litter tray like a pro.
Cleo needs a special home with someone that understands what it means to love an older cat and is willing to share their heart with this old girl in her twilight years.
If you are willing to give Cleo the home she deserves, please contact AWL Western Suburbs Cat Co-Ordinator on 0477 682 000 We are willing to speak with any pensioner wanting a cat but not able to afford the adoption fee which we can negotiate.
