Adopt a Dog

Check out that smile! LASSIE #2813 is a very clever young Kelpie cross and a goofball full of energy who would love to be your best friend and be part of your everyday life. She is 11 months old, and while she did not have a lot of training before coming into care, she was immediately very affectionate and eager to please and has been learning very quickly. She is now mostly house trained, but might need some consistent reminders to avoid the occasional accident (mostly only during rainy days, when she doesn't like to wet her paws!). She has been learning many skills including how to walk on lead, but is still quite reactive to passing cars so would need an owner who can spend the time on puppy training with her - and who has an active lifestyle to keep up with her levels of energy. Lassie is growing into a confident, people-loving dog and loves nothing more than playing in the yard with her humans, chewing on her toys, and a good belly rub. She is starting to meet a few other dogs and seems to be very good around them - in fact she would probably really benefit from an older dog sibling as a doggy mentor. Although she is very good at sitting when asked, she can get a bit excited and boisterous, so might not be a good fit for a household with young kids.
