Due to the increasing concern of COVID-19 in nearby areas, our Kemps Creek Shelter is taking further precautions to help ensure the safety of our staff, the animals in our care, and the people who may visit us to adopt a new pet.
Appointments are required for those who may wish to visit our shelter to adopt or surrender a pet. Appointments can be made by contacting our shelter on 02 8777 4445 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not have an appointment, you may be turned away.
For those who are successful in making an appointment, strict procedures are now in place:
- Upon arriving, we ask people with an appointment to use the hand sanitiser available outside our new cattery.
- After using the hand sanitiser, please ring the doorbell and wait for one of our friendly staff members to assist you.
- Our staff will take your temperature and record your contact information on a visitor’s register. This information will be kept confidential and will be taken prior to entering the building.
- Our staff will be wearing gloves and a face mask. These items will also be offered to visitors.
For anyone who may be feeling unwell, showing symptoms, or has recently visited affected areas, you will not be permitted to visit our Kemps Creek shelter.
With everyone’s help, we can ensure we can continue to provide the high quality of care to our shelter animals and help find them new forever homes during these unprecedented times.
