Are you thinking of ways to help animals in need this winter?

You can help keep our animals active this winter by donating toys for them to enjoy! We’re seeking toy donations from kind individuals and organisations to help us provide fun enrichment to the pets at our shelter. Interactive toys like puzzles and kongs are great, but we’re also happy to accept snuggly plush toys and squeaky toys too! Anything that will help our pets have fun while they’re waiting for homes will be appreciated!

Did you know? AWL NSW has a wish list of all the things we desperately need, some of the toys on our wish list are below:

  • Kongs
  • Soft Toys
  • Squeaky toys
  • Scratching Posts
  • Enrichment toys
  • Puzzle toys
  • Interactive toys
  • Ropes
  • Tennis Balls
  • Chew toys

If you would like to help spread joy to our shelter animals pets, you can drop toys off at our shelter. Simply visit 1605 Elizabeth Drive Kemps Creek NSW 2178 or if you prefer to send them via post: PO BOX 308, Kemps Creek NSW 2178. Used toys that are still in good condition are happily accepted!

Tip: Retails stores like Kmart can provide affordable dog toys starting at just $2. You can get these delivered right to our door so that animals in our care can get playing straight away. If going to your local shops or buying online is all too much, there are other ways you can help to ensure AWL NSW can continue to help our shelter animals. With so many shelter animals in need, it is often that we need to purchase additional items such as toys to assist certain animals in our care. Toys that are often overlooked.

If you are wanting to help in other ways you could always:

  • Make a donation on behalf of a loved one
  • Accept gold coin donations at your office or school to give to AWL NSW to buy toys
  • Make a personal donation
  • Purchase a gift from our online store
  • Volunteer and give the gift of time

It is important to know if you choose to make a financial contribution anything over $2 is tax deductible.

Thank you to everyone that will help us bring joy to the cats and dogs in our care!
