Helping a drought-stricken community

The Animal Welfare League NSW Mobile Vet Truck will make it’s way to the drought affected of Tamworth next week to help support the locals who have had an incredibly tough year. Through bushfire, drought, flooding and COVID-19, this year has had a toll on the community which is home to many farmers, livestock and pets.

To help support this disadvantaged community, Animal Welfare League NSW will be travelling to Tamworth to help alleviate some of the financial hardship that the region is experiencing due to drought. The AWL NSW veterinary team will be providing discounted vaccinations, microchipping and veterinary health-checks to pets owned by local pensioner/concession cardholders and primary producers. Members from the AWL NSW Tamworth volunteer branch will also be there to assist, and locals will have the chance to see first-hand the overwhelming size of the vet truck.
