Furever Home Festival 2026

Animal Welfare League NSW is excited to announce the return of our Furever Home Festival in 2026, a fun-filled community adoption day celebrating rescue pets and the joy of finding them loving homes.

Taking place on Saturday 20 June 2026 at our Kemps Creek shelter, the festival will bring together animal lovers, families and the wider community for a special day dedicated to the cats and dogs in our care.

Gates are open from 9:30am – 3:30pm. Entry is free, with parking available on site, so visitors can enjoy a relaxed day out while supporting animals in need. Guests will have the chance to meet some of our beautiful adoptable animals, chat with our team about the adoption process, and learn more about the work that happens every day across AWL NSW.

There will also be plenty to see and do, including tours of The Dog House Australia set, the opportunity to step inside our Animal Care Truck, plus food and market stalls to enjoy and shop from throughout the day.

Please note, Furever Home Festival is a pet-free event, so we kindly ask that pets stay at home. However, if you are intending to adopt a dog on the day, you will need to bring any dog(s) you currently have at home for a meet and greet. This must be booked in advance, so please contact our shelter team ahead of the event to arrange this on 02 8777 4445.

Whether you are thinking about adopting, want to support rescue pets, or simply love animals, Furever Home Festival is a wonderful opportunity to connect with AWL NSW and see the impact of our work up close.

Every animal deserves the chance to find a loving home, and this festival is all about celebrating the special bond between people and their pets.
