A Little Bit About Shadow

Meet Shadow, a bright and energetic dog who brings enthusiasm to everything he does. He is obsessed with toys and will happily spend his day chasing, tugging, fetching, and carrying his favorites around with pride. He absolutely loves food, which makes him extra motivated and eager to learn. Shadow is also a water lover and would be thrilled with adventures that include swimming and splashing.

Shadow is very sweet and affectionate, forming strong bonds with his people and enjoying close companionship. He is friendly and okay with strangers, greeting new faces with curiosity and a wagging tail. His loving nature makes him a wonderful companion for a home that wants both cuddles and fun.

Very smart and quick to pick things up, Shadow would truly benefit from ongoing training to keep his mind sharp. He thrives when given structure, clear guidance, and positive reinforcement. Regular exercise is essential for him, both physical and mental, to help channel his energy in healthy and rewarding ways.

Shadow would need to be the only pet in a home with no cats. He may be able to live with another dog, pending successful meets at the centre and with slow, sensible introductions. He can live with children aged 16 years and over who are confident and respectful around dogs.

Shadow can live with full-time workers, provided his needs are met. While he can manage being left alone for reasonable periods, he would greatly benefit from mental stimulation during this time, such as puzzle feeders, stuffed enrichment toys, or safe, long-lasting chews to keep him engaged. With the right balance of activity, enrichment, companionship, and continued learning, Shadow will grow into an incredibly devoted and joyful lifelong friend.
