Meet Diamond 💎
Diamond is a beautiful German Shepherd cross who is ready to find her forever home. She is a shy and sensitive girl who takes a little time to feel safe and comfortable around new people. Once she trusts you, her true goofy and affectionate personality begins to shine — and it’s incredibly rewarding to see.
Here at the shelter, we’ve been working closely with Diamond on confidence-building, and she has been making steady progress. Her future family will need to understand that she won’t settle in overnight and will need patience, consistency, and space to come around in her own time. Diamond is best suited to an experienced dog owner who has a strong understanding of dog body language and behaviour and who can recognise and respect when she is asking for space.
Diamond loves food — and food is absolutely the way to her heart! This has been a huge help in her training and confidence work and will continue to be a great tool for bonding with her.
She is currently working on becoming more comfortable with vet handling, as vet visits can be very scary for her. Diamond will need a committed family who is willing to continue this work gently and positively to help her feel safe and supported.
When it comes to other dogs, Diamond is happy to walk alongside them and enjoys calmly co-existing, but she would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself.
Diamond’s ideal home:
- Experienced dog owner
- Part-time worker
- Adults only / kids 18+
- Secure yard with 6ft fencing
- No small animals (they’re too scary for her)
- Only dog in the household
Diamond is a special girl who will thrive in the right home — one that is patient, understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to truly blossom. In return, she will offer loyalty, quiet companionship, and plenty of love once that bond is built.
My adoption fee includes desexing, health check, microchipping, I am up-to-date with vaccinations and eligible for free lifetime registration.
