About the Branch
Eastern Suburbs Branch provides assistance to the local community through helping with the desexing of pets, vet consultations, and treatment. The branch is also involved with the feeding and monitoring of local cat colonies.
The branch holds street stalls (usually at Randwick or Maroubra Junction) and also has an information and fundraising table most Sundays at the Rotary, Fitzroy Gardens, and Kings Cross markets. Ways you can get involved:
- volunteering some time at our street stalls (usually held in Randwick or Maroubra
- making home-made cakes, jams, pickles for our stalls
- handmade craft items that we can sell – baby clothes, dog coats, cards, etc. are always welcome.
- becoming a valued carer for AWL cats and kitten/dogs and puppies waiting for homes though the AWL NSW Foster Care Program (accreditation and support provided )
- providing occasional transport between the AWL Kemps Creek shelter and vet practices in the Eastern Suburbs for kittens waiting to be rehomed.
