Student Application Form

Please use the below application form if you would like to register your interest in becoming a student volunteer at the Animal Welfare League NSW Kemps Creek Shelter. Please note that spots are strictly limited, and students must be at least 18 years of age or older. 

Kemps Creek shelter student volunteer applications are currently closed until later this year.

Our team will review your application and suitable candidates will be contacted to discuss your availability and where we could best use your help!

Your Student Placement

Do you have any skills, training experience or previous employment in animal care?*
Do you have any pets at home?*
Do you have any physical limitations, disabilities or health restrictions that could affect your ability to volunteer?*
Do you have any allergies or take any medication for any health conditions?*
Are you able to commit to at least one 4-hour shift per week or fortnight on the same allocated day?*
Do you understand that if successful, your volunteer placement will be subject to a three-month probationary period and if not deemed suitable, your volunteer placement will cease?*

Agreement

I understand that completion of this form does not guarantee a volunteer position and if successful, Animal Welfare League NSW will contact me via the information provided to discuss my application. I understand that due to the large number of applicants, Animal Welfare League NSW will not be able to contact me should my application not be successful.*
I understand that I may need to adhere to COVID-19 protocols including the use of wearing a mask, keeping a safe distance, and using hand sanitiser if attending an Animal Welfare League NSW community initiative. I also understand that I cannot attend if I show symptoms or am required to isolate as per NSW Government Health order.*
I consent for Animal Welfare League NSW to use any photography/videography of either myself or my pet for any advertising or media promotions as outlined in the <a href="https://www.awlnsw.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/AWL-NSW_Photo-and-Video-Consent-Form.pdf" target="_BLANK"><strong>Photo and Video Consent and Release Form.</strong></a>*
