When Matcha first came into our care, she had little trust in people and found the world to be a very overwhelming place. Through countless hours of dedicated work from our team, we've had the privilege of watching this beautiful girl absolutely blossom. Seeing her confidence grow and her personality shine has been one of the most rewarding experiences.

Beneath her cautious exterior is a wonderfully silly, affectionate, and deeply loving dog. Matcha takes time to build trust with new people, and she prefers her interactions to be kept short, calm, and positive while she gets to know you. Once you've earned her trust, she reveals her true colours—and they're worth the wait. Matcha is a total lap dog at heart and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap, soaking up affection, and being close to her favourite person.

Matcha is looking for an experienced owner who has a strong understanding of canine body language and behaviour. She needs someone who can recognise and respect her communication, helping her continue to feel safe and understood as she settles into her new home.

While Matcha is not suited to living with other dogs or small animals, she is happy to pass dogs on walks and can remain neutral around them. She would thrive as the only pet in the household where she can enjoy all the love and attention for herself.

Matcha is best suited to an adult-only home, as young children can be quite scary for her at this stage. A home with a part-time worker or someone who can provide her with companionship and a predictable routine would be ideal.
