A Little Bit About Brutus

Brutus is a handsome, mature brindle gentleman who truly enjoys being around people. He’s an affectionate boy who loves attention and is happiest when he’s close to his humans—whether that’s relaxing nearby or being part of the day-to-day routine. Brutus thrives on human interaction and will happily soak up all the pats and affection that come his way.

With his friendly and social nature, Brutus could do well in a home with children. However, he is best suited to an experienced dog owner in a single-dog household, as he has a history of dog reactivity. While he may be vocal when seeing other dogs from a distance, he will do best as the only dog in the home where he can enjoy all the attention and companionship. He is not suited to a home with cats.

Brutus forms strong attachments to his people and experiences some separation anxiety. Because of this, he needs a home where someone is around most of the time. A consistent, reassuring environment with plenty of company will help him feel safe and settled. He also prefers a home where his humans are regularly present and involved.

A secure yard with 6ft fencing is required to keep him safe and comfortable.

While toys don’t capture his attention all that much, Brutus is very food motivated—making this a great tool for ongoing training and building positive routines. He will need an owner who is committed to continuing his training and supporting him with his reactivity.

Brutus is available for foster-to-adopt only, and with the right home offering time, structure, and lots of affection, he will truly flourish and become a deeply loyal and much-loved member of the family.

My adoption fee includes desexing, health check, microchipping, I am up-to-date with vaccinations and eligible for free lifetime registration.
