A Little Bit About Zoro
Note: This dog is currently being cared for in a home and when adopted, it will free up a spot to help another dog.
Zoro is a playful, affectionate boy who has really come out of his shell in foster care.
It took him around a week to settle into his foster home, and since then, his playful personality has really started to shine!
He absolutely loves playing and wrestling with his doggy foster brothers, while also learning to play appropriately.
He can be a little excited around other dogs, but has shown he can happily live as part of a multi-dog household.
He is also currently living with a cat.
Zoro is a big fan of affection and loves pats everywhere. He enjoys chasing squeaky balls, playing outside and soaking up the sunshine, with a daily 40–60 minute walk helping keep him happy and content.
He walks beautifully on lead and has even learnt to fetch and bring his balls back!
He can be a little nervous when meeting new people, particularly men, but with some reassurance and treats, he quickly gains confidence.
Zoro is toilet trained, travels well in the car and has settled nicely into his foster routine.
He does have ongoing separation anxiety, although this has improved significantly in recent weeks.
He will need a home where his new family can continue building his confidence and help him learn that being alone is okay. Keeping him occupied with appropriate enrichment and long-lasting chews can help him feel more comfortable.
Zoro would benefit from having another confident, compatible dog in his new home, as having canine company has helped him feel more secure in foster care.
