Akira is a fun-loving, spunky girl who knows exactly what she wants- toys, attention and plenty of love!

She is an absolute bulldozer in the best possible way and throws herself into life with enthusiasm.

Whether she’s playing with her favourite toys or soaking up affection from her people, Akira is always ready to have a good time.

With her big personality and playful nature, Akira would make a fantastic family dog for the right home.

She loves her people and would enjoy being part of a family who can keep her busy, give her plenty of interaction and appreciate all the character she brings.

Akira is looking for a home where she can be the only dog.

She can be reactive towards other dogs and has a strong prey drive around them, so her new family will need to have previous experience managing dog reactivity and understand the importance of responsible handling, management and setting her up for success.

She’ll need a home that is committed to continuing this work with her rather than expecting her to simply become comfortable around other dogs.

Akira could suit a part-time worker, provided she has a good balance of exercise, enrichment and company.

She loves having things to do and would thrive with a family who enjoys getting out and about with their dog while also giving her plenty of opportunities to play and engage at home.

Akira has previously done okay around cats, but because of her prey drive, any home with a cat would need to be carefully considered.

If the right cat household came along, introductions would need to be extremely slow, structured and closely managed.
