Hawkesbury Valley Branch
Hawkesbury Valley Animal Welfare League NSW branch promotes responsible pet ownership, including desexing animals before breeding age and microchipping as these measures will help to decrease the large numbers of surrendered, lost and abandoned pets.
We can assist you financially in desexing your pet via the Companion Animal Assistance Scheme (CAAS). Available to Pensioner and low income earners in the Hawkesbury residents only.

How To Get Involved
Hawkesbury Valley branch is always looking for volunteers to help us care for the pets and their people in the community. If you would like to become involved in helping us to help them you can:
- Become a foster carer. This is one of the most rewarding ways to help our dogs and cats as this provides them with a stable home environment where they can learn to trust people while they become used to everyday situations while developing their social skills as they wait for the new forever homes.
- Volunteer your time and skills, there are many ways that you can assist for example, fundraising, administration or providing transportation for our carers and their charges to their appointments
- Donate: As well as cash donations (all donations over $2 are tax deductible) we are always looking for items associated with caring for animals: such as, dog collars and leads, cat litter trays and litter, blankets and towels for bedding and consumable items of pet foods for cats and kittens, puppies and dogs.
You are welcome to attend our meetings held on the 1st Saturday of each month (except December) from 11am at the Panthers North Richmond, 33 Beaumont Avenue, North Richmond.
