A Little Bit About Chops

Chops is a sensitive boy who is looking for an experienced and understanding owner to help him continue his journey toward confidence. When he first arrived, he was very nervous, but with time, patience, and consistent support, he has already made great progress. Chops will need a home with someone who understands dog behaviour and is committed to continuing his training and confidence-building, helping him feel safe and secure in the world around him.

He would be best suited to an adult-only home where his needs can be fully understood and respected. As Chops becomes more comfortable, his personality really begins to shine. He can be quite cheeky, sometimes showing playful behaviours like mouthing or barking. Ongoing training and clear boundaries will be important to help him channel this energy in a positive way and continue developing into a well-balanced companion.

Chops may be suitable for full-time workers, as he is capable of settling independently once he feels secure in his environment. While he can walk nicely around other dogs, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can fully relax. He could potentially live with cats, provided introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully. With the right guidance and a patient, experienced owner, Chops has so much potential to grow into a loyal and rewarding companion.
