Looking for a Foster To Adopt home!
Patches is a beautiful Staffy X with a huge love for people. She absolutely adores spending time with her humans, whether that’s cuddling up on the couch, soaking up attention, or enjoying a fun play session. She has such a sweet and affectionate nature and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts.
During her time here at AWL, Patches has worked incredibly hard on her dog socialising skills. When she first arrived, she displayed quite strong dog reactivity, largely due to limited exposure and social experiences with other dogs in the past.
Our staff have dedicated countless hours to helping build her confidence and teach her appropriate behaviours around other dogs, and we are so proud of the progress she has made.
Patches can now happily co-exist around other dogs while under control on leash and has even had some friendly interactions with select dogs here at AWL with close management and supervision. She is fully muzzle trained, and this will need to continue during walks and vet visits to help set her up for success and ensure everyone remains safe and comfortable.
Patches is looking for an experienced owner who understands dog reactivity and is committed to continuing the training and behaviour work we have started with her. Ideally, her new family will continue her training plan independently or alongside a professional behaviour trainer to help her keep progressing.
She would thrive as the only dog in the home, as she loves having all the attention and affection to herself. Patches is suited to a home with pet-savvy children who can respect her boundaries, but she does require a confident and experienced adult handler who can continue supporting her on walks and with her ongoing training needs.
Patches has come such a long way during her journey with us, and now she is ready to find a loving, understanding home that will continue helping her become the best version of herself.
My adoption fee includes desexing, health check, microchipping, I am up-to-date with vaccinations and eligible for free lifetime registration.
