A Little Bit About Roux
Roux is a sweet and affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his people and thrives on companionship. He loves being involved in day-to-day life with his family, enjoys one-on-one interaction, and especially loves playtime with his fluffy toys.
Roux settles well into a routine and benefits from consistent structure, enrichment, and opportunities for mental stimulation.
Roux is a very people-oriented dog and would suit a home where his humans are around more often than not, as he can become distressed when left alone for long periods due to separation anxiety. He is looking for an understanding and committed adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and independence through gradual alone-time training, enrichment, and ongoing support. When stressed, Roux has been known to chew, so appropriate management and enrichment will be important in his new home. Secure fencing is also essential to help him feel safe and secure when home alone.
Roux is best suited as the only dog in the home, where he can fully relax and enjoy the attention of his people. While he has been making progress with his dog socialisation, he will require an experienced dog owner who can continue supporting his training and confidence around other dogs in a positive and controlled way.
He is best suited to a home with pet-savvy children aged 15 years and older, with adults able to support respectful interactions and ongoing training.
Roux would thrive in a home that can provide companionship, routine, enrichment, and continued guidance to help him succeed. In return, he offers plenty of affection, personality, and loyal companionship to the people lucky enough to welcome him into their lives.
