I'm the strong, silent type. Unless it's late at night when I become a full-blown talk show host, meowing my thoughts into the void. Every toy to me is a highly suspicious package so I avoid them like a traveller with a "padded suitcase" avoiding eye contact with customs at an airport. I prefer to ease into new environments like a cautious croissant slowly unrolling itself.
I'd do best in a home with another friendly, cat-savvy feline who can show me the ropes and help build my confidence. That could be my friend Autumn who is also looking for a new home at the shelter. Or it could be another cat-friendly resident in your home. I might also get also along with a calm dog if you have one at home. Loud noises? No thank you.
It took me about a week to feel safe when I was in my foster home, and even now I prefer observing from a distance, usually from the top of my mighty cat tree or wedged inside a good, sturdy box (bonus points if it's slightly too small for my excessive fur). I'm a cat of routine, especially when food is involved. Honestly, food is my love language.
I'm not a huge fan of being picked up, but if I'm feeling safe and the stars align, I'll accept gentle neck scritches and pats while pretending I don't enjoy them. I'm working on being brave... And I am looking for someone to help me.
