Vindaloo is a sweet and sensitive little Dachshund looking for a special family to help him feel safe, loved, and never alone again. He's available under a foster-to-adopt arrangement, which means we'll support you while you help him adjust and, hopefully, welcome him into your heart and home forever.

This pint-sized boy spends most of his time indoors and has made it very clear he's not a fan of the cold! He'll burrow into any blanket he can find - the fluffier, the better - and if you're sitting on the couch, don't be surprised if you suddenly find a Vindaloo-shaped hot water bottle curled up on your lap.

He adores belly rubs, ear scratches, and pats of all kinds - basically, he's never met a cuddle he didn't love. Vindaloo has also been nothing but friendly with every person he's met, warming up quickly and soaking up attention like it's his favourite treat.

Walks are a highlight of his day - he walks well on lead, though he's a curious little guy who enjoys a good sniff and may gently pull when he catches a particularly interesting scent. He's not big on playing with toys, but he does get a kick out of slowly dismantling soft plushies with surgical precision.

Vindaloo is incredibly food motivated and isn't picky - mealtimes are always a happy time!

While he's generally polite around other dogs up close, he can experience lead frustration when he sees other dogs at a distance and may react. He would do best with a family who can work patiently on his reactivity with guidance from our team.

What Vindaloo needs most is a family who can support him through his separation distress. He's a clingy little guy who finds comfort in constant companionship and will need a dedicated, patient home committed to helping him build independence in a safe and supported way.

Note: This dog is currently being cared for in a home and when adopted, it will free up a spot to help another dog.

My adoption fee includes desexing, health check, microchipping, I am up-to-date with vaccinations and eligible for free lifetime registration.

Adoption Fee: $440
