A Little Bit About Jessie

Jessie is a quiet, nearly four-year-old short haired border collie.
A super sweet girl, Jessie has blended in easily at her foster home, where she has been living happily with other foster dogs, the family cat and primary school aged children.
Being on a hobby farm, she has also had plenty of interaction with horses, sheep and cattle. Jesse does not chase kangaroos.
Jessie's favourite thing to do is run through the paddocks. Be that on her walk in the morning, feeding the cattle or running alongside the quad bike.
We would love to see Jessie go to a quiet home, with a man in the household. She does appear to especially enjoy the company of men :-).
She can go with or without another dog as she is used to living with several other dogs. She has been extremely tolerant of the young playful kelpie in her foster home, but she is past the puppy playful stage herself.
Jessie knows basic commands, has good recall and will thrive on further training.
Jessie is house trained and sleeps soundly in the lounge room all night. Not making a peep. She does not like to be left outside and will scratch at the door wanting to come in or look at you through the window shaking. She will need to be allowed inside with you.
Jessie can be unsure in new environments, so will require a quiet introduction to her new home. Jessie is very cautious with new people but becomes more comfortable with that, once she has been given time to feel secure in her environment.
Jessie will need to have formed a bond with you and be comfortable in her new home before venturing out.
Jessie will be shy at first, but don't mistake that for her not being interested, she just needs time to warm up and feel comfortable. She will need you to be patient with her until she can trust you but will then give you her loyalty and every ounce of love that she has.
She just adores her 'pack'.
For a patient person with a kind heart and a quiet home, who is willing to show up for Jessie with understanding and not rush her, the result will be a bond like no other. Jessie will be a constant, quiet presence by your side and you might have just found your perfect match.
