Meet Sadie
Sadie is a stunning German Shepherd who is still finding her paws in the world. She can be nervous when meeting new people and prefers to take things slowly, but with patience (and maybe a bit of devon to help break the ice!) she blossoms into the sweetest, most affectionate companion. Once Sadie knows and trusts you, she'll lean in for pats, shower you with kisses, and happily show off her pretty tricks.
Sadie is still working on her dog socialisation. She has had some success here at the shelter, but she can become frustrated when seeing other dogs at a distance and feels uncertain when close to them. Because of this, she will thrive as the only pet in her new home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself.
One of Sadie's best qualities is how content she is at home-she's great at minding the house while her humans are out at work and will be waiting patiently when you return.
Sadie is looking for experienced owners who understand that she needs time, structure, and patience to feel safe and shine her brightest. She is not suited to a home with young children, as a calmer lifestyle is best for her, but she may be suitable for a household with dog-savvy teenagers 18+.
